My client Tony Romo feels you have given too much attention to Tom Brady. He feels he has put up enough points to be given the front page of your so-called "Fantasy Mailbag." And my other client, Josh Beckett, will run against C.C. Sabathia for president. No way, BJ! Romo got his due. He was on the front of the Week 5 mailbag. And what did he do? Went out and put up his only stinker of the year, throwing five interceptions on a Monday night in Buffalo. I think it's in his best interests to avoid the front of the mailbag for now. As for Beckett vs. Sabathia, you'll have to battle it out with Will from Ohio. He already announced Sabathia's presidential run during baseball season! Plus, C.C. beat out Beckett for the American League Cy Young Award last month. If I chose Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs, will his return yards count for fantasy points? And why isn't Josh Cribbs available? Sorry Cole, while you get 60 points for any return TDs, you don't get any points for return yardage. And you don't really want Cribbs on your fantasy team. Even though he has two return TDs this season, Cribbs has just seven carries for 56 rushing yards and one catch for seven receiving yards. That adds up to just 183 fantasy points. And that would make Cribbs just 93rd among all fantasy wide receivers! Do you think Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb ($8,500,000) will ever get back to how good he was a couple years ago? I think he'll get close Tyler, but not this season. The knee injury McNabb suffered last season typically takes two years to get completely back to normal. That's why D-Nabb hasn't had his old mobility back this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles traded him in the offseason, but I do think McNabb can bounce back to Pro Bowl form at some point. This season is probably lost though. McNabb will likely miss his second straight game on Sunday. A.J. Feeley looked great last week, and Philly has a young QB in Kevin Kolb who they're trying to mold into their QB of the future. Is Tom Brady playing this week? The Patriots home page has him on the injured list. Don't worry about that Mac. For whatever reason, the Patriots almost always list Brady as "probable" on their injury report. But he hasn't missed a single game since becoming their starter back in 2002. And remember, on an NFL injury report, "probable" means there is a virtual certainty that the player will perform in his normal role. Derek Anderson for Joint Solid Waste Management District Board of Directors! Oh Will. He'll never beat out Paul Bako. Never. Dear Mr. Wizard, I have New England Patriots WR Randy Moss ($8,150,000), Cleveland Browns WR Braylon Edwards ($7,280,000), and Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens ($11,250,000), but I really want New England Patriots WR Wes Welker ($5,330,000). Who should I let go? Mike, I'd definitely hang on to Moss if I were you. If you can still afford Owens, I'd give him a slight edge over Edwards. But if you want to save a little bit of money, Edwards isn't too far behind T.O. You like the Orioles, but you like the Steelers instead of the Ravens?!!!!! How could you!!!!! TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, you gotta remember Danny. When I was your age, the Ravens didn't exist. They were still the Cleveland Browns. And as a Steelers fan growing up, the Browns were our bitter rivals. Then they upped and moved to Baltimore. I couldn't start rooting for our bitter rivals just because they changed cities! Hey Wiz, I've got a few questions they may be irrelevant, but oh well... When do you think that Dallas Cowboys WR Terry Glenn ($8,860,000) will return? And when he does, do you think it will be a big return or just a complete waste of a season for him? Also, do you know if Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is still dating Carrie Underwood or are they over? Please respond, this questions are necessary to my survival!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, only one of those questions is irrelevant, Dallas. I think this is a lost season for Glenn. Maybe he'll play a couple games at the end of the season, but his knee is a mess and I don't think he'll ever re-gain his blazing speed. As for Romo, I hear he's dating Jessica Simpson nowadays. Hey Jessica, if you're reading this, write in and let everyone know if this is true! Cowboys fans should just hope Romo is spending more time studying film than dating pop singers. Who is the best running back and who is the best kicker in all of fantasyland? Well Nick, if you go just by the numbers right now Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian "BW Bug" Westbrook ($11,040,000) is leading all running backs in scoring, and that's despite missing a game earlier this season. Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian "Stinky Pete" Peterson ($5,750,000) and San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson ($15,170,000) are right on his tail though. As for kickers, Green Bay Packers rookie Mason Crosby ($5,000,000) is leading the pack. Personally, I think either New England Patriots K Stephen Gostkowski ($6,400,000), Dallas Cowboys K Nick Folk ($5,250,000), or Cincinnati Bengals K Shayne Graham ($8,070,000) will catch him for that top spot before the year is done. I agree with Michael from Minnesota!! The Transformers movie was awesome. And the fight scenes were not lame, they were SWEET!!! I disagree wholeheartedly Kyle. The title of the movie shouldn't have been Transformers. It should have been called 90 Minutes Of People Who Aren't Transformers Followed By A Couple Of Fight Scenes That Are LAAAAAAAME: The Movie. Stupid wizard, why didn't you answer my question about New York Jets QB Kellen Clemens? I see you had time to tell us you liked potatoes. Fatty. Stupid? I have a degree in computer science! What do you want Leo? He's in there! You can go with Clemens if you want, but I don't see any reason why you should pick a new starting quarterback playing for a struggling offense. And I'm not fat. I'm big boned. Are you friends with Buzz Beamer? Buzz and I are pretty close, Shreyas. I don't know if I'd say friends though. I'm really more of a chum. Or (as Moe from the Simpsons would say) a well-wisher, in that I don't wish him any specific harm. But I played some touch football over at his place once. After Whitney burned me for a third touchdown, I announced my retirement. Can we really say bye-bye to bye weeks? Well said, Evan. Indeed we can. No more regular season bye weeks until 2008. I think SIKIDS.com is a little mean to Peyton Manning! It's not his fault the Colts don't have Randy Moss! It's not his fault that Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark have been hurt! If Tom Brady was on the Colts, they would be 7-4 right now! I thought we were being nice to Peyton. I think he and Tom Brady are equally good in real life. It's just that Indy has all these injuries that are holding them back. Meanwhile, Brady has the best receiving corps and best offensive line in the NFL to help him out. Brady was already great, and now with his supporting cast he's putting up the greatest statistics anyone has ever seen. And plus, Peyton Manning was the SI Kids 2007 Athlete of the Year! Three questions. One: I'm a little low on money right now. Who would be a good low-price kicker? Two: Like other fantasy football leagues, why can't we choose team defenses, like Pittsburgh? Three: there are a lot of good fantasy football questions out there. Why do you always choose the ones that have nothing to do with football, like "I like noodles"? If you give me a good answer to all of the questions, I will send my next question addressing you as "The Awesome Great High Wizard of Football Fantasies Who Likes the Greatest Team Ever, the Pitts..." Okay, forget that last part about what team you like. But Pittsburgh all the way! Boy, you're all over the place on these questions, Matt! First, I'd go with one of the rookie kickers if you're looking to save money. Both Green Bay Packers K Mason Crosby ($5,000,000) and Dallas Cowboys K Nick Folk ($5,250,000) are among the top five scorers for kickers this season. As for team defenses, it seems like a lot of readers want them added. But we can't add them to the game in the middle of the season. I'll sit down with the Lord of Fantasy Football at the 2008 Fantasy Football conference and present the case for adding team defenses in 2008. And I like talking about noodles sometimes. I mean, look at all these questions every week. So many! If I'm not careful, my brain could explode from fantasy football overload. MY EVIL ARMY IS READY! OH YEAH! I'm a better dancer then you and you eat horse poop!!!!!!!!!! Horse poop? Very mature... DUANE FROM NEW JERSEY! MY NEMESIS! And for the last time, that wasn't horse poop. It was a Snickers bar.
