Well, Dr. Jordan Metzl -- who has run 30 marathons and competed in 10 Ironman triathlons -- has created an app with the American Academy of Pediatrics that shows you workouts that will build strength, balance and overall fitness. There are nine sets of exercises that work your core, upper body and lower body. By improving your overall strength, you'll support your joints more and help prevent injury while improving your performance on the field, in the pool or on the court. You can also create custom workouts that are tailored to your sport, season or body type. One of the best parts of Metzl's plan is that you don't need to buy a bunch of equipment because it uses your body weight for resistance.
