Hockey players can be crazy. Their fans may just be crazier.
Take Rich Young for example. Young loves the Chicago Blackhawks (and if you've been listening to SI Kids RADIO lately, you know I do too). But even I am not crazy enough about Chicago's hockey team, which currently sits one win away from their first Stanley Cup victory in 49 years, to do what Young did in his front yard...
Check out the clip to the right. Young installed a diesel train air horn in his front yard to blow every time the 'Hawks score a goal. You read that right, I said IN HIS FRONT YARD. How cool is that? I guess your answers may vary. If you're a Blackhawks fan, your answer is, "That's really cool!" If you're a Flyers fan, your answer is probably closer to, "WILL YOU PLEASE STOP BLOWING THAT AIR HORN, I'M GETTING A HEADACHE!!!!"
According to Young, most of his neighbors are Blackhawks fans, which also means most of them like the horn. All I know is that if the Blackhawks become the first road team to win in this year's Finals and hoist the Cup tonight, Young's neighbors better get some ear plugs, because I have a feeling he's going to be blowing that horn all night long.
