Hero Cat Can Has First Pitch

The season of awesome first pitches continued last night with what might be the first first pitch thrown out by a cat!

Here's the wind-up: Last week, a kid in California was out in his driveway when he was attacked by a dog. What could have been a tragedy turned into an incredible moment of heroism when the boy was saved by his cat, Tara. It's one of the great moments in the history of cat/human relations, and Tara rightly became an instant Internet celebrity. And the minor league baseball team the Bakersfield Blaze gave Tara a true hero's honor: tossing the ceremonial first pitch.

How does a cat throw a baseball? Good question! Here's the pitch:




Wouldn't you know it, she's a southpaw! It might not have been the best throw ever, but hang in there, Tara! You'll get 'em next time!
