After Peyton Manning announced his NFL career was at an end, the Indianapolis Colts announced it would retire Manning’s No. 18 jersey. The Colts also said they will erect a statue of their former quarterback outside Lucas Oil Stadium. The Manning Monument won't be the first statue celebrating all-time football greats — and it certainly won't be the last. When metal Manning is dedicated in the not-too-distant future, it will join an ever-growing list of statues teams have erected outside of stadiums around the NFL.
