Reebok Debuts Special Pink Edition of Kamikaze II
Basketball season is right around the corner, with the NBA opening its preseason schedule next week. And when Phoenix Suns point guard Isaiah Thomas hits the court, he’ll be raising awareness for a good cause with his footwear.
Thomas will wear a special edition of Reebok’s Kamikaze II Mid throughout October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The classic sneaker features numerous pink accents, from the the zag on the heel to the splashes on the heel to the logos on the tongue and toe.
Here’s a closer look:
It’s certainly a cool way for Thomas to show his support for the breast cancer awareness. And you can follow his lead. The shoe will be available as a limited edition at Finish Line, Champs, Eastbay, DTLR, Shoe City, and reebok.com on Friday. The men’s adult sizes run $110, grade school sizes are $85, and pre-school sizes cost $50. And by buying the sneaker, you’re supporting the cause twice: For every pair Reebok sells, the company will donate a percentage of the sales to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. (Reebok says it will donate a minima of $300,000 to the organization through the sale of various pink products.)
