Style Wars: Kobe vs. LeBron
As if it wasn't already hard enough to pick a winner in the never-ending debate that is "Kobe vs. LeBron"... now both super-duper-DUPER-stars have just unveiled custom models of their latest kicks.
You know what this means, right? Time for a GearHead-approved head-to-head!
*drumroll, please*
In this corner, modeling the purple-and-yellow blend-pattern and retailing for $120: the Nike Zoom Kobe IV "4 Rings". Kobe debuted the custom kicks (which feature Bryant's signature on the heel and a hand sporting four championship rings on the inside of the tongue) during last night's season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers. And I gotta say: these right here?! The goods.
But are they enough to topple King James' new exclusives?
In the opposite corner, sporting white framework-with-green highlights and retailing at prices unknown: the Nike Air Max LeBron VII - More Than a Game City Pack. Released in support of LeBron's "More Than a Game" World Tour, the colorways were inspired by the hometown colors of James' high school alma mater, Saint Vincent-Saint Mary. And while I have no idea how much they cost... you can bet they're expensive. Only 123 pairs were created! And you can ONLY find them at the House of Hoops store in London (the Zoom Kobe's are a bit easier to find; they'll be at a House of Hoops near you beginning this Sunday). As in Europe. Yeeks.
So which pair of sneakers are the flyest??? Well, I could weigh in now... but how 'bout you guys kick things off by voting first? You can see close-ups of each sneak below; check 'em out and weigh in on the Comments roll!
