At the start of the second quarter of last night’s Giants-Cowboys game, New York was up 7-3 and at midfield. On a 1st-and-10, pass, quarterback Eli Manning unloaded a shot toward the end zone. Receiver Odell Beckham, running down the sideline with Cowboys safety Jeff Heath doing all he could to keep Beckham and the ball separated. And Beckham was totally out of position. But it didn’t matter. He extended his long arm and pulled down a TD — and one of the best catches of this or any season:




Seriously, the only thing that comes close is David Tyree’s helmet catch in Super Bowl XLII, and even that was a product of luck as much as skill. Beckham’s catch, though, was something else. I mean, he caught it at full extension using only three fingers!
