Peyton Manning Throws Seven Touchdowns, Destroys Ravens
The NFL kicked off its 2013-14 season last night in Denver, and the Broncos put the hurt on the Ravens, 49-27.
More accurately, it was Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning who did the hurting. He lit up the Ravens defense by throwing seven — seven! — touchdowns last night (and zero interceptions). It was the first time any NFL quarterback has done that since 1969. If you have Peyton on your fantasy team, you're going to have a good week.
And rather than go to one receiver all night, Manning spread the love around. He threw five touchdowns to three different receivers — two to Demaryius Thomas, two to Wes Welker, and one to Andre Caldwell — and two more to tight end Julius Thomas.
