Pop Warner Gets a Super Bowl, Too

Between all the college bowl games and the end of the NFL's regular season, the end of the year is a busy time for football fans. So it's possible you missed the Pop Warner Super Bowl. If you did, SI Kids has you covered.

From December 7-14, kids on 64 teams met at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, to compete for the title of National Champions in eight different brackets. Here's how it worked: There are four different levels of play in Pop Warner football — Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Midget, and Midget. For the Super Bowl tournament, 16 teams from each level were split into two divisions. The eight teams from each level in Division I formed a bracket, as did the eight teams at each level in Division II. So there were eight championship titles up for grabs, two at each level of play.

The action was intense, with every kid leaving it all on the field and every team going hard to bring a championship trophy back to their hometown.
