If you thought Kevin Durant's 54-point night last weekend was impressive, Carmelo Anthony would like a word.

On Friday, Melo made history by scoring an unbelievable 62 points against the Bobcats. It was the most points of his career, the most points ever scored in a game by a New York Knick, and the most points ever scored in a game played at Madison Square Garden. The previous MSG record was 61 points, scored by Kobe Bryant in 2009.

In case you missed it, here's a video of every one of Anthony's points:

What makes Anthony's performance on Friday even more amazing is that it only took him three quarters (and a few minutes) to reach 62 points. He hit the mark with 7:23 left in the fourth quarter. He was pulled out of the game by Knicks coach Mike Woodson after breaking the record, which make you think: How many more points could he have scored? King James thought Melo could've hit at least 70:

For those of you keeping score at home, Anthony was back on the MSG court Sunday against the Lakers and scored (only) 35 points. Which is 97 total points over the two games. That's a monster weekend.
