When you think of the San Antonio Spurs you think of Tim Duncan, Coach Pop and sometimes their classic, simple uniforms. All three are consistent, reserved and maybe even a little bit boring. Well, the stoic Spurs departed from that identity a somewhat today when they unveiled a new alternate jersey for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

If the new uni's appearance is a little jarring at first, it's likely because we haven't seen such a design in the league's history. The team's president, Rick Pych, touted the silver uniforms as the first-ever NBA jersey to not have words on the front. Instead of the team name or city, there's just a large version of the Spurs' logo and the player's number in the upper-right hand side.

We're not totally enamored with the new look here at SI Kids (modeled by Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green). To us it has an almost half-finished appearance that you'd more likely find in a practice jersey than for in-game uniforms. What do you guys think?
