LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston has been crushing it with the sports LEGO projects. First, there was the LEGO World Series trophy created to celebrate the Red Sox 2013 championship. Then there was LEGO Fenway Park, which debuted around the time of the Sox home opener a dew weeks ago. And now there's the coolest creation yet: A full-size LEGO Stanley Cup!

The LEGO Cup was unveiled over the weekend to coincide with the start of the Bruins-Red Wings opening round playoff series. It weighs 33 pounds, is 35 inches tall and 17 inches wide, was constructed using more than 7,500 LEGO bricks, which took more than 32 hours to assemble. How does that stack up with the real thing? The actual Cup weighs 34.5 pounds and is 35.25 inches tall.

Sure, the real Stanley Cup is made of silver and nickel alloy, which looks really awesome when it's all shined up. But the LEGO Cup looks pretty great, too. Here are a couple other looks at the model, which will be on view at the Discovery Center when it officially opens on May 23:
