New York Islanders Release Stadium Series Jersey
Last week we told you about the new Stadium Series jerseys that the Kings and Ducks will wear when they meet for their outdoor game in January. But it slipped by us that the New York Islanders — who will also be playing outside as part of the Stadium Series — debuted their news sweaters, too.
The team released the first images the day for Thanksgiving, and unlike the Kings and Ducks jerseys, the Isles will have a whole new crest. Instead of the traditional NY with the hockey stick on top of an image of Long Island, the team's jersey will feature just the NY and hockey stick. It's a stripped down version of the team's iconic logo, and it might point toward a new brand identity as the team prepares to move to Brooklyn for the 2015-16 season.
