AFL Throwback Uniforms
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the American Football League, the eight original AFL teams are wearing their old uniforms for certain games (dubbed "AFL Legacy Games") during the 2009 season.The Buffalo Bills wore their original uniforms Sept. 14 against the Patriots and will wear them again twice -- Nov. 15 against the Titans and Nov. 29 against the Dolphins.
The New England Patriots wore the Boston Patriots uniforms on Sept. 14 against the Bills and Oct. 11 against the Broncos. They'll wear them again on Oct. 18 against The Titans and Dec. 6 against the Dolphins.
The San Diego Chargers wore their ever-popular powder blue unis on Sept. 14 against the Raiders. They'll wear them again Oct. 19 against the Broncos and Oct. 25 against the Chiefs.
The Oakland Raiders wore their old uniforms (which are similar to their current ones) on Sept. 14 against the Chargers and will wear them again Oct. 25 against the Jets and Nov. 15 against the Chiefs.
The Tennessee Titans wore their old Houston Oilers uniforms Sept. 27 against the Jets. The Titans will wear them again Oct. 18 against the Patriots and Nov. 15 against the Bills.
The New York Jets wore their old Titans of New York uniforms, ironically enough, against the current Titans on Sept. 27. The Jets will wear them again Oct. 25 against the Raiders and Nov. 1 against the Dolphins.
The Kansas City Chiefs wore their original Dallas Texans uniforms Oct. 11 against the Cowboys and will wear them again Oct. 25 against the Chargers and Nov. 15 against the Raiders.
The Denver Broncos wore their old brown and yellow uniforms Oct. 11 against the Patriots. They'll wear them again Oct. 19 against the Chargers.
