Brook Lopez's Top 10 Comic Book Characters

Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez is a HUGE fan of comic books. He tries to pick up his favorite comics at the store every Wednesday and even draws his own characters. (He created the image of himself and Hawkeye on the left.) So Lopez was the perfect spokesman for the new Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth video game. In the game, Lopez's favorite character is Hawkeye, and he can't wait to play the video game against twin brother and New Orleans Hornets center, Robin. We asked Brook to rank his Top 10 comic book characters. As a true comic fan, he decided to pick his five favorite characters from the Marvel universe and his five favorites from DC Comics.

"He's cool looking, fast, and has awesome teleportation powers. I also like him because he is German, and so am I."

"He's my favorite Avenger because he doesn't really have a superpower. Also, I think I'd make a great archer."

"I think he's cool, pardon the pun."

"Another Avenger that I like. He has a cool costume, and I always enjoyed his storyline in the comics."

"He's a classic. I love him. The shield, his story, everything."

"I mean, come on, he's Batman. He is very cool looking, and I think his backstory with the whole war on crime is awesome."

"I like the Connor Hawke [version of Green Arrow]. He's the one I grew up with and the one I remember reading."

"He's got a cool backstory and a great looking costume."

"I really like her mix of superhero and mythology. I think the most recent series with her is one of DC's best."
