Former Super Bowl winner and NFL MVP quarterback Kurt Warner’s storied rise from humble beginnings to the top of the football world felt ripped out of a feel-good movie. So why not actually make it into one?

Last week, 20th Century Fox announced that it’s going to make a movie out of Warner’s ready-for-the-big-screen story: Two years after being cut by the Green Bay Packers in 1994, Warner worked as a grocery store bagger in Iowa. He got a shot in the Arena Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers the next year and led them to two-straight championship games. The St. Louis Rams signed him in the offseason, and the rest is history.

The plan to make a Kurt Warner movie got us thinking: What other star athletes could have their own movie one day?

Everyday this week, we’ll be fantasy casting one athlete’s (not-yet-in-production) movie. First up: The Legend of Tim Tebow.

Given his celebrity, it will be weird if Tebow doesn’t have a movie made about his life at some point. Any movie that focuses on Tebow would have to follow his wild career in the NFL, from the Broncos to the Jets to the Patriots and all the uncertainty about his future in between.

Leading man Chris Evans, who recently played Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger and Avengers, certainly looks the part.

Tebow’s current coach, Bill Belichick of the Patriots, is no fan of the media. And neither is actor Tommy Lee Jones, who you might have seen in the Men in Black movies.  Jones also had a role in Lincoln as a radical Republican congressman, suggesting he could pull off another smart and sarcastic authority figure.

Rex Ryan, who coached Tebow for the one season he (sort of) played for the Jets would need to be in the movie, too. Comedian Ron white is dead ringer. Seriously, them is just scary!

Rounding out the Tebow Coaching Staff is Josh McDaniels, who led the Broncos the season Tebow played in Denver. Now, he’s the offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Patriots – bringing Tebow’s NFL story full circle. Character actor David Arquette seems like he could pull off a good impersonation of McDaniels.
