Meet the May SportsKids of the Month!
In each issue of Sports Illustrated Kids, we feature three kids who excel in sports, does well in school, and gives back to the community. These young athletes do it all — on and off the field! Meet this month’s SportsKids of the Month!
Evie Rosselli, 7
Pittsburgh, PA
Gymnastics
In January, Evie won her first level four all-around title (33.300) at the Stars & Stripes Invitational. The following month, the first-grader set a new X-Cel Gymnastics club record with her bar routine (9.525).
Austin Smith, 9
Pensacola, FL
Football
Austin had 1,715 yards of total offense and scored 22 total touchdowns in 2015. The QB led the 8U Northeast Pensacola Wildcats to an undefeated record (11--0) and a spot in the NWFYSA title game.
Nathen Snyder, 15
Chambersburg, PA
Obstacle Course Racing
In 2015, Nathen became the youngest obstacle course racer to finish the 26-mile Spartan Ultra-Beast Race (12:45:38). He was also the youngest racer to complete four five-mile laps in seven hours at the BattleFrog Extreme Race (BFX) last August.
