On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color barrier when he played his first game for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Every year, Major League Baseball celebrates this day by having every player wear Robinson's 42, which is otherwise retired throughout baseball in his honor. This year's day is especially exciting with a new documentary about the pioneer's life on PBS.
